Healthcare Digital Transformation Success Story (Veteran Affairs)

AM was engaged by Veterans Affairs to deliver healthcare system-wide analysis to drive the design of cost-effective value-based care driven overhaul of the VA’s Healthcare Delivery Systems. The analysis was mandated as a result of Congress passing the MISSION Act. 

AM coupled our experienced healthcare experts with our data engineers to analyze provider data at 1,243 health care facilities, including 170 VA Medical Centers and 1,063 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving more than 9 million enrolled Veterans each year. 

AM collected 124 data sources from across all aspects of VA healthcare operations, finances, human resources, real estate, etc. to assess compliance, vulnerability protection, monitoring, and scaling against the ever-changing demands. 

The most important benefits to this program were the ability to utilize the vast array of tools to analyze, transform, visualize, and catalog the data to gain the insights needed to make decisions about where to optimize the VA healthcare system.
